Jeremy Lin Eats Kobe Beef

If you haven’t heard of Jeremy Lin by now, it’s about time you did. If you aren’t able to talk about him at brunch tomorrow and at church on Sunday, you’ll feel behind the times. Kind of like Kobe felt last night when the media asked him how he was preparing:

Kobe, it’s so obvious you were lying through your teeth. You knew who Jeremy Lin was. You’ve read every article ever written about you and follow the league closer than any fan. You were probably watching his 25 / 7 / 5 against the Nets. You definitely saw Sportscenter highlights of the 28 / 8 he had in his first NBA start against Utah. Hell, even if you missed those, there’s no way you didn’t see him dismantle John Wall with 23 and 10.

Who said Asians couldn’t drive?

It’s hard to think of a story more exciting this season than Jeremy Lin’s. He played four years at Harvard, went undrafted, was eventually signed by his hometown Warriors last year before being cut after the season. He got picked up by the Knicks and averaged less than 7 minutes a game before getting his big break against the Nets on February 4th.
