Axel Willner aka The Field is one of my favorite electronic artists of late. He is a minimalist like many of his Kompakt label-mates but is unique in the way he is able to create interpretative sounds using endless looping beats. Reminds me of a masterful painter who uses blank space really well and let’s the viewer fill it in with their own thoughts.
